Do I need to be a competitive athlete to get services with PerformRX?
No you do not need to be a competitive athlete. You do however, need to be an active individual who is ambitious about maintaining a healthy lifestyle and increasing longevity in sport.
Do you offer online services?
We offer online services for individuals and for groups no larger than 15 depending on the service requested. Some of our programs can be hybrid depending on needs of organization or individual.
Do I need to be at a certain athletic level to train?
We have trained a variety of athletes of all ages and skill levels with minimal to no base level strength capacities. Our job is to meet you where you are and improve any deficits identified through our thorough evaluative process.
Do you offer manual therapy treatments?
Yes! As Athletic Therapists, we are knowledgeable in all areas of injury management including manual therapy. We utilize evidence-based techniques appropriate for your needs.
Do you work with club teams?
Yes! Our services are for all types of sporting organizations both recreational and competitive. If you are bringing people together to participate in a physical activity our programs are geared towards you!
Will I get bulky if I lift?
An unfortunate common misconception about lifting weights coming from endurance athletes or aesthetic athletes. Lifting weights makes you strong, it does not inherently make you bulky unless that is a goal. All athletes, endurance and strength/power, should be strength training, no questions. The evidence is astounding.
